Job Description

We are looking for a self-motivated social media intern who wants to gain real-life experience working at a start-up in the travel industry. The position will be responsible for building and managing a strong online presence through all major social media platforms. You may also have the opportunity to collaborate with the CEO on other related projects. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the development of the overall social media brand strategy
• Working with CEO to identify target customers, goals and KPI's
• Designing and creating engaging social media content
• Creating and maintaining a social content calendar
• Becoming a brand and industry expert
• Managing, engaging and building the Pamoja Safaris’ community across all social channels
• Compiling data across platforms, presenting analytics and providing recommendations
• Promoting upcoming travel excursions and events
• Tracking competitors’ brand initiatives

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• 5+ years experience with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest
• Usage of various tools for content creation, scheduling and posting
• Engaged in the latest social media trends
• Experience with analyzing data
• Strong interest in the travel industry
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Being optimistic, energetic and generally cool
• Strong time management skills
• The ability to work independently and remote

Bonus points for:

• Experience in the travel industry
• Previously working at a start-up
• Marketing or Communications degree

Location: Remote  Dates: April 15th- July 15th Hours: Flexible 10-15 hours/week
