JR. STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Pan American Properties, Inc is currently looking for a high energy, reliable, staff accountant to join our accounting team. Pan American Properties, Inc. is a rapidly growing company that specializes in professional management services for owners of commercial, retail, industrial, RD, offices, multi-family, and mixed-use properties all over Southern California.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking an experienced, hard-working, team oriented Staff Accountant with a proven track record of going above and beyond. The main objective of the role is become an integral member in achieving our company goals, but also maintain the consistency and integrity of the accounting department.
NOTE: THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS FULL-CYCLE ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE (AR, AP, & FINANCIALS PREPARATION) WITH EXPERIENCE AS AN ACCOUNTANT IN RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the accounts of a medium portfolio of properties (i.e., 15-20 properties) to Pan American and the owners expectations
Work closely with Property Supervisors and Resident Managers to help maintain budget and financial expectations. Manage and process move ins, move outs, and collections, and enter rental increase rates
Facilitate the onboarding of newly acquired properties
Full cycle accounting Process owner contribution and distribution of capital Process AP Weekly utilizing AvidXchange and Rent Manager Audit and process property mortgages and taxes. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
Submit monthly utility invoices to AUM
Assisting accounting department as needed
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of accounting concepts and terms; procedures to manage and analyze budgets; full cycle accounting; financial reporting
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); exemplary attention to detail; strong organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication; interpersonal skills; problem-solving; effective time management; critical thinking skills

REQUIREMENTS:
1 year of full cycle accounting preferred
Experience in property management accounting PREFERRED
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field experience preferred, or combination of education or equivalent work experience
Proficient in Microsoft office programs
Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Job Type: Full-time

$23.00 to $25.00 /hour
