    Job Description

    POSITION DETAIL:

    The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for connecting our business with the surrounding community, networking support services for our residents / clients and general public relations for the Panama City Housing Authority.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are not intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed in this role. Shown are duties intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities.

     

    · Brainstorm potential partnerships or methods of engagement with the local community

    · Create, schedule, organize and host resident events

    · Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events and resident services

    · Prepare an annual budget for community outreach activities

    · Maintains relationships with collaborative partners and cultivate new ones

    · Maintain PCHA Facebook page with current, pertinent content

    · Prepare and maintain accurate records for event details, attendance and goals

    · Assist Executive Director with scheduling / hosting luncheons, training and board meetings

    · Assist Executive Director with media responses and press releases

    · Create effective and modern marketing tools in both digital and hard copy format

    · Attend department and staff meetings

     

    QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE:

    · Ability to communicate and relate to persons of diverse backgrounds and abilities

    · Must be prompt and dependable

    · Strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms

    · Excellent computer skills required including Publisher, Power Point, Word and Canva

    · Valid driver’s license

    · Able to work with minimum day to day supervision

    · Detailed oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time

    · Knowledge of HUD, public housing and low income housing a plus

    · Professional attire and appearance required
