Panavision has an immediate opening for a .NET Application Developer to join our team supporting global initiatives across all lines of business. This role requires an experienced application developer with advanced technical skills and background with the Microsoft technology stack, including C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server (including T-SQL). In addition, a history with mobile apps development, leveraging Xamarin or like platforms, is a must. The position will support and develop a wide range of applications, including a globally deployed, custom Windows Forms applications, ASP.NET web applications, mobile applications and system interfaces. As well, and as needed, s/he will be expected to develop expertise in other technologies to support evolving business needs.

While this is first and foremost a software development role, the candidate should be able to work collaboratively with business operations and technical colleagues in the scoping of requirements and business needs. S/he must have an execution oriented, get stuff done attitude and a proven track record of designing, building and deploying custom software deliverables.  In short, the candidate must be goal oriented, innovative, analytic, collaborative, a strong communicator, and partnership minded in the determination and delivery of technical solutions for Panavision’s businesses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

·        Serve as the solution architect, technical lead, and principal developer on designated applications

·        Provide level of effort (LOE) estimates and timelines for development work

·        Lead full-stack design and development of enhancements to existing applications and interfaces

·        Architect, design, develop and deploy new Windows, Web and Mobile applications

·        Architect, design, develop and deploy RESTful APIs and web services

·        Design and deploy data models for application databases

·        Create, write and perform Unit Tests, Component Tests, and Scenario Tests

·        Develop additional skill-sets / expertise to perform as the solution architect, technical lead, and principal developer on other application technologies

·        Participate in team and project meetings

·        Performs other related duties as assigned 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

·        5+ years of experience developing custom software using C#, (Windows Forms, ASP.NET, and/or Xamarin) and SQL Server T-SQL

·        Experience supporting and enhancing a complex custom C# / .NET based application with a large, diverse user base

·        Experience developing and deploying ASP.NET based web applications

·        Experience developing system interfaces utilizing RESTful APIs

·        Experience using Source Code Management tools, such as TFS (preferred), Git or Subversion

·        Ability to effectively work directly with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure technical solutions meet the business needs

·        Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills

·        Bachelor’s degree in CS and/or Engineering

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

·        Experience supporting custom applications deployed and used in multiple countries

·        Experience in scripting languages, specifically Python and/or Javascript

·        Familiarity in Cloud Technologies desired such as AWS or Azure a plus

·        Experience developing SQL Server SSRS, SSIS and/or SSAS solutions

·        Experience with MS Dynamics implementations (F&O, Business Central, CRM/Sales)

·        Experience building interfaces with Salesforce and/or Force.com development

·        Experience as a member of a team using Agile Scrum

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK/TRAVEL:

This position works standard business hours but may require long hours and some weekend work. Some out-of-state / country and overnight travel may be expected.
