As a Teacher at Tanglewood Learning Center located at 8410 Sycamore Drive, New Port Richey, FL 34654, you will be dedicated to helping children to reach their full potential. We are currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic preschool teachers in multiple age groups to plan and implement an ongoing program and activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child, in accordance with Panda Hugs Academy approach; We offer year-round programs for children from infancy through 12 years age. Responsibilities: * Provides childcare, daycare, services based on an approved curriculum for children 0-4 years which includes physical, emotional, social, intellectual and creative development. * Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children * Coordinates curriculum and classroom needs which include lesson plans, calendar activities for children and disbursement of information to parents * Attends staff meetings, required trainings, parent functions, and works cooperatively with staff and parents. * Observes, evaluates, and communicates feedback to parents, staff, and management concerning the status of clients. * Responsible for maintenance of supplies needed for classrooms and report it to the director monthly. Physical Abilities: * Ability to lift infants and toddlers weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds. * Ability to sit on the floor, bend at the waist, kneel and/or stoop 75% of the time. Requirements: * High School Diploma/GED, 45 hours training hours. * Meets state education and experience requirements for child care licensing and regulation. * Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent degree preferred * Experience with infant/toddler children in a licensed child care setting. * Must be sensitive to the culturally diverse population that Panda Hugs Academy serves. * Must complete a State of Florida level 2 background screening and drug screening. * 5 years residency in the state of Florida, preferred. * Good interpersonal skills, team-oriented, customer service focused and enjoys working with others. * Optional - After school van/bus drive to safely transport our students from their elementary schools to our after school program!
