Job DescriptionThis role will be reporting to the Operations Associate - Supply Chain to assist and ensure all freight shipments to/from and across all DCs are scheduled, shipped and received on time. This role will work cross-functionally with Procurement, Production, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain to be the single point of contact for all freight shipments beginning to end, booking, arranging pickup, transit updates and delivery. A successful candidate is organized, detail oriented and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities Oversee quote and booking process for all inbound and outbound freight (Ocean, Air or Ground) -- gathering quotes from various freight forwarders, price negotiating and booking transit schedules. Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sell-through rates per SKU across Pangaea’s global distribution centers and maintain healthy stock levels at all times Communicate with distribution centers to ensure accurate receipt of inventory as described on purchase orders and packing lists. Ensure freight is booked, picked up and dropped off according to ex-factory schedules for all brands and distribution centers globally Stay informed on all freight in transit, recording updates, delays, etc. and notify the appropriate parties (both internal and external) when issues arise, and coordinate on resolution Maintain accurate information and reports for all inbound and outbound freight shipments across multiple systems Source new freight forwarders across all product offerings to reduce cost and efficiency Requirements Bachelor’s in business or related field Able to work across multiple different time zones Microsoft Excel proficiency required Strong interpersonal and communication skills Bonos Points 1-2 years of relevant experience at high-growth consumer business preferred SQL, Python a plus!
