We are a fun, hip, trendsetting company looking for a highly motivated Accounting Assistant. The Accounting Assistant will have the opportunities to work on daily accounting requirements across platforms. You will also be able to gain insights on various company-wide financial initiatives such as financial planning and adherence to budget, optimizing contracts, costs, and opportunities to further leverage the company's assets. You will report directly to CFO.

    The ideal Accounting Assistant is a strategic thinker and faster learner with analytical skills, accounting skills, attention to details and willing to work long hours, when necessary, and has the ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines.

    This position starts with an hourly rate for 90 Days probationary period. Required to work full-time from Monday to Friday.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assists with the closing process, financial audits, deposits, affiliate accounts, and rebills.
    • Manage Accounts Payable and filing system
    • Entry of Revenue/Income into each company
    • Maintain and follow filing procedure
    • Help with consolidating and analyze financial data, by comparing actual results with plans and forecasts
    • Investigate financial requests by Sales Team
    • Data entry of expenses into QuickBooks
    • Support interim review and year-end audit
    • Help with payroll process and compensation analysis
    • Other duties as assigned by manager

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is preferred
    • 1+ years of Accounting/Finance experiences in a similar position is preferred
    • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
    • Strong computer skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook), as well as Quick Books, Paychex, and other Finance & Accounting related software.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Good work ethic and outstanding time management skill
    • Ability to multi-task and maintain good attention to detail
