  • Responsibilities

    The overall objective of this position is to manage the personnel and activities of the Electrical Engineering Department.  The department is responsible for the electrical design, PLC/HMI programming and overall drawing package needed to manufacturer the product.

     

    The key responsibilities of this position include:

    • Provided technical support to other departments, specifically, mechanical design, field service, estimating and sales/marketing
    • Maintain knowledge of product lines, advances in technology and regulatory standards. 
    • Work with vendors and partners to ensure seamless integration and accurate design.
    • Perform departmental employee evaluations and salary reviews/adjustments
    • Develop and maintain training program for department
    • Responsible for the overall electrical design of all projects
    • Other duties as required by Engineering Division Manager.

    INTRAPERSONAL SKILLS:    Detail oriented strategist with ability to efficiently arrange required resources.  Self motivated. Ability to manage multiple personnel with competing deadlines.

     

    Required Experience

    TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE: Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and equipments, specifically switchgear. Experience performing engineering calculations to determine various ratings of equipment.  Experience in electrical standards, including but not limited to, ANSI/IEEE, NEC, ABS, USCG. 

     

    EXPERIENCE:                 5 years, minimum, in the design of switchgear and/or generator controls and distribution equipment.
