  • Responsibilities

    BehaviorRx is seeking compassionate Instructional Assistants/Paraprofessionals to support children in self-contained ASD classrooms in Glendale and Peoria, AZ. In this role, you’ll work with students who need emotional support, behavioral redirection, and academic assistance.     Required Minimum Qualifications:

    • Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
    • CPR Certification
    • 6 months of experience working with children
    • Patient and compassionate personality
    • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; regularly stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 25 pounds

    Job Description:

    • Support Positive Behavior: Collaborate with teachers to foster positive student behavior through effective behavior support strategies.
    • Ensure Safety: Supervise students to maintain a safe, nurturing, and non-threatening environment.
    • Prepare Classrooms: Set up tables, chairs, and materials for classroom activities.
    • Assist Students: Work with special education students individually or in groups on academic, social, emotional, functional, language, and behavioral skills, as well as activities of daily living.
    • Monitor & Enforce Standards: Demonstrate techniques to aid student learning, monitor behavior, and uphold school and classroom policies.

    Job Details:

    • Job Type: Full-time
    • Pay: $17.00 - $22.50 per hour
    • Schedule: Monday to Friday
    • Work Location: In-person in Glendale or Peoria, AZ

    Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)

    License/Certification:

    • Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
    • CPR Certification
