    ABOUT THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST POSITION

    SALARY: Starting at $45,000

    The Accounts Payable Specialist position will report directly to the CFO.  The Accounts Payable Specialist will perform crucial job duties that ensure vendors get paid for services and products rendered. They review and process invoices, audit credit card bills, answer vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, process and maintain 1099 statements, code bills properly and process and distribute checks.  Your duties will also include managing payments of all company's creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

    ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

    • Completes bills by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
    • Ensures the proper authorizations and approvals for all invoices
    • Reviews expenses against budgets
    • Accurately codes bills to appropriate general ledger account, property, unit, etc.
    • Audit and process credit card bills
    • Address and respond to vendor inquiries
    • Sets up all new vendors ensuring that all the proper forms and vendor  guideline agreements are handled appropriately and that insurance is up to date. 
    • Monitors all vendors, purges/cleans up when necessary, ensures all vendors are correctly entered for handling of 1099s
    • Handles the preparation of all 1099s

    ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK REQUIREMENTS ARE:

    • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree  preferred.
    • Approximately 3 years of experience in accounts payable.
    • Significant experience with calculating, posting and managing accounting figures and financial records
    • Construction payable experience a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail, deep dedication to customer service, quality management experience and a team approach to work
    • Ability to set priorities, work simultaneously on numerous tasks and meet strict deadlines
    • Sharp written and verbal communication skills.
    • General computer skills and proficiency, including Microsoft Office, email, Rent Manager (preferred)
