Our offices are in Dallas, but we handle cases in Dallas, Ellis, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton Counties. We provide a competitive salary and a large firm contribution toward health insurance, dental, and vision. The salary range will increase for a paralegal board-certified in family law or a related area. Family law experience preferred. Responsibilities: • Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed • Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues • Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers • Work closely with clients to ensure legal needs are met • Draft pleadings as demanded by the calendar • Be patient and supportive of clients going through a difficult time Qualifications: • Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree preferred • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred • At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills • Talented communicator and writer • This is an in-office position, but a hybrid may be considered for the right person. You must reside locally Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 yearly
