We are hiring a Family Law paralegal to assist one of our legal teams. This person will be able to handle the discovery process from start to finish, understand how to arrange a balance sheet, draft basic pleadings, prepare exhibits for trial, and well as a variety of other paralegal responsibilities. All applicants should be experienced Family Law paralegals, highly organized professionals with serious attention to detail, and possess excellent communication skills that thrive in a team environment. Responsibilities: • Draft and respond to all discovery requests, i.e. Request for Production of Documents, Matrimonial Interrogatories and Witness Disclosures. • Draft basic pleadings, i.e. Petition for Dissolution of Marriage, Petition for Temporary Support and Motion to Compel. • Recognize and read various asset/liability documents, i.e. bank accounts, brokerage accounts, retirement accounts, credit card statements, personal tax returns, etc. and be able to compile an income summary and detailed balance sheet. • Utilize Family Law software to calculate taxes for income on financial affidavits. • Extract necessary information from production index for drafting of detailed SCR 201(k) letter to opposing counsel. • Determine exhibits needed and prepare exhibits and exhibit lists for trial. Qualifications: • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Family Law paralegal. • Ability to communicate with team as well as clients. • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work independently and efficiently. • Ability to proofread work product. Compensation: $60,000 - $90,000 yearly
