Grace Design Studios is a national architecture and design firm built on a legacy of technical excellence, creative problem-solving, and integrity. Our Forensic Architecture team provides expert consulting and testimony in matters involving building performance, design defects, and construction issues. We are seeking an organized, resourceful Administrative & Research Assistant to provide critical support to our Forensic Architecture division.
Responsibilities
- Assist Forensic Architects and Testifying Experts in research, analysis, and document preparation for ongoing cases.
- Organize and maintain case files (both digital and physical), ensuring completeness and accessibility of all project documentation.
- Support preparation of consulting agreements, case summaries, and exhibits.
- Conduct background research on building codes, construction methods, and project records.
- Prepare and track case documentation, fee collection efforts, and correspondence.
- Coordinate scheduling, travel, and meeting logistics for expert engagements.
- Assist with marketing materials, case references, and division database maintenance.
- Participate in maintaining case tracking systems and library archives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, legal studies, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in an administrative, research, or technical support role (architecture, construction, or legal environment a plus).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with data management systems; familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, or similar design software preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including document editing and proofreading.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and collaboratively in a hybrid team environment.
