Responsibilities: • Manage and maintain case files from inception through resolution • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence • Coordinate and assist with discovery, including document production and review • Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues. • Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and filing requirements • Mentor junior paralegals and support staff as needed Qualifications: • Minimum of 3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm environment • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred • Strong knowledge of New York court procedures and filing systems (including e-filing) • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently under tight deadlines Compensation: $20 - $40 hourly
