Provides professional legal support to attorneys through legal research, filing preparations, e-filing, general administration of claims, lawsuits and litigation. Claimant work in workers compensation is preferred.
We are seeking an experienced Workers Comp Paralegal/Legal Assistant to become a part of our team! You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the drafting, reviewing, and filing of legal documents
- Reviewing and summarizing medical records
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Record and store client information
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as workers compensation paralegal/legal assistant
- Familiarity with legal research
- Task driven
- Ability to prioritize
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Experience with Filevine or similar case management systems
