We are seeking a true litigation paralegal with at least 2+ years of experience in a legal setting with strong analytical and writing skills who can independently manage case-related tasks from intake through trial. Personal injury experience is preferred. While personal injury experience is preferred, we are open to candidates with strong litigation experience of at least 2+ years in other practice areas, and familiar with the litigation process, who demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and adapt. This is not an administrative role. The ideal candidate must have prior paralegal experience and be analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of reviewing and working up case files without extensive training. You will work directly with the managing attorney in a small firm environment and will be expected to take ownership of your work and operate independently. This role is best suited for candidates who can contribute independently and have a strong foundation in litigation. Personal injury experience is preferred; however, candidates with relevant litigation experience and the ability to quickly learn will be considered. We are seeking candidates interested in a long-term opportunity. Compensation: • Salary: $60,000 – $85,000 (based upon experience). • In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a performance-based year-end bonus. Bonuses are tied to firm performance and individual contribution, including case preparation, case development, and overall impact on results. High performers have the opportunity to earn above base compensation. • Paid time off (2 weeks after one year), • Standard national holidays. Responsibilities: • Manage and organize case files from intake through trial • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, demands, motions, and correspondence • Draft and respond to discovery demands, court orders, and document requests • Review and analyze case materials and discovery, including identifying key facts and missing information • Obtain and review medical records and supporting documentation for cases • Prepare and e-file legal documents in compliance with court rules and deadlines • Maintain case progress, notes, and deadlines • Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel • Assist with trial preparation, and exchange of discovery, including exhibits and case materials • Follow up on cases with missing discovery to make sure timely receipt of material to properly litigate cases Qualifications: • Minimum 2+ years of legal experience, with strong analytical and writing skills, is required; personal injury experience is preferred • Plaintiff-side experience preferred (defense experience will be considered) • Strong command of the English language (written and verbal) • Spanish language skills are a plus • Strong ability to review and analyze legal and medical documents • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and basic computer systems • Highly organized and detail-oriented • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently • Strong communication and follow-through • Consistent and stable work history preferred • Must be able to deliver high-quality results on a timely basis • Must have the ability for proactive time management that ensures a successful outcome for the firm and the clients What We Are Looking For • A self-starter who can work independently without constant supervision • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify important information in documents • Ability to follow instructions carefully and accurately • Reliable, professional, and accountable • Someone who takes ownership of their work and meets deadlines • Ability to accept feedback and apply it constructively Compensation: $60,000 – $85,000 yearly based on experience
