  • Responsibilities

    Our Client is a vibrant, busy, and growing full-service law firm seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our team in Brooklyn. The ideal candidate will have at least 7+ years of real estate paralegal experience and be well-versed in all phases of real estate transactions from contract to closing. This position requires a detail-oriented, proactive professional with excellent organizational and communication skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and draft contracts of sale, closing statements, loan documents, title and survey reviews, and other real estate-related legal documents.

    • Review and analyze title reports, identify title issues, and coordinate resolution with title companies and attorneys.

    • Assist attorneys in managing real estate transactions, including commercial and residential purchases, sales, refinances, and leases.

    • Coordinate all aspects of closings, including scheduling, preparation of closing packages, and post-closing documentation.

    • Review due diligence materials including leases, zoning reports, and environmental assessments.

    • Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel.

    • Maintain and update closing checklists and transaction timelines.

    • Organize and maintain client files and documentation in an efficient and confidential manner.

    • Assist with e-filing of court documents as needed.

    • Draft and file UCC financing statements and amendments.

    • Track critical dates, contract contingencies, and closing deadlines.

    • Prepare and organize documentation for entity formation (LLCs, corporations, etc.) and assist with related filings.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Minimum 7+ years of real estate paralegal experience in a law firm or legal department setting.

    • Strong knowledge of real estate transactions and procedures, including title and survey review, due diligence, and closing coordination.

    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research tools; familiarity with e-filing systems.

    • Highly organized and able to manage multiple matters with tight deadlines.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    • A paralegal certificate or equivalent experience is preferred.

    • Experience with ProLaw, Westlaw, or similar legal software is a plus.

    • Knowledge of corporate entity formation and filings is a plus.

  • Compensation
    $60,000-$80,000 per year
