Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal – Real Estate & Civil Litigation to support attorneys with case management, legal document preparation, real estate transactions, and litigation matters. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining case files, coordinating deadlines, conducting legal research, and ensuring the efficient handling of legal and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, contracts, and other case-related materials.
Assist attorneys with real estate transactions, title reviews, closing documentation, and related filings.
Support civil litigation matters by managing discovery, organizing evidence, and maintaining litigation files.
Create, organize, and maintain physical and electronic case files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Track critical deadlines, court dates, and transaction milestones, providing timely reminders to attorneys.
Conduct legal and factual research to support case strategy and preparation.
Coordinate the collection, filing, and distribution of legal documents with courts, clients, and third parties.
Handle administrative duties, including mail processing, document deliveries, and filing tasks as needed.
Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and external stakeholders regarding case and transaction matters.
Perform additional duties and provide administrative and legal support as assigned by senior legal staff.
Qualifications
Prior experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Secretary, preferably in Real Estate and/or Civil Litigation.
Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
Knowledge of real estate transactions, litigation procedures, court filings, and legal documentation.
Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain strict confidentiality in a fast-paced legal environment.
