We handle real estate disputes, probate litigation, quiet title actions, contract disputes, trust fights, boundary disputes, mortgage servicing disputes, and estate conflicts. We are growing — and we need a litigation paralegal who stays ahead of the case, not behind it. Responsibilities: This is a hybrid litigation position focused on: • Real estate disputes • Probate and trust litigation • Contract and title conflicts You will be the organizational backbone of active litigation files. If the attorney is the strategist, you are the operational commander. We are looking for someone who: • Tracks deadlines before anyone asks • Knows court rules without Googling them every time • Builds systems instead of reacting to chaos • Sees what’s missing before it becomes a problem If you enjoy being three steps ahead, this role will feel natural. Qualifications: Case Management (The Core) • Open and structure new litigation files properly from day one • Build case timelines and litigation roadmaps • Track all deadlines under the Michigan Court Rules • Maintain hearing calendars and tickler systems • Ensure service of process is handled correctly and timely Drafting & Filing • Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, and probate petitions • Prepare discovery requests and responses • Draft subpoenas and coordinate service • E-file in Michigan courts (state and probate) • Prepare proposed orders and judgments Real Estate Litigation Support • Organize title documents, deeds, land contracts, mortgages • Prepare exhibits for quiet title and boundary matters • Track redemption periods and statutory deadlines • Assist in foreclosure-related litigation Probate & Trust Litigation Support • Draft petitions for removal, objections, and accountings • Organize estate asset documentation • Track statutory notice requirements • Coordinate with fiduciaries and beneficiaries Discovery & Trial Prep • Prepare and manage discovery productions • Organize deposition summaries • Build trial binders and exhibit lists • Coordinate witnesses and hearing logistics Client Coordination • Collect and organize client documentation • Communicate status updates (under attorney supervision) • Keep clients informed without overpromising • Maintain professionalism in emotionally charged situations Compensation: $50,000- $60,000 yearly
