We are a New York personal injury law firm seeking an experienced Paralegal to work directly with the firm’s lead attorney. This role is ideal for a practical, organized, and self-motivated professional who takes initiative, asks thoughtful questions, and is eager to learn and grow within a busy plaintiff-side practice. Responsibilities: This position will support all phases of litigation in cases involving personal injury cases. Responsibilities include: • Manage personal injury cases from intake through resolution • Draft and assist with discovery demands and responses • Organize and maintain electronic case files and litigation documents • Prepare materials for depositions, witnesses, and trial • Obtain medical records, billing records, police reports, and court documents • Schedule depositions, mediations, IMEs, court appearances, and client meetings • Assist with New York State and federal court filings • Communicate with clients, medical providers, experts, court staff, and opposing counsel • Track deadlines and case data using Excel and internal systems Qualifications: • 1+ years of experience as a paralegal in a New York personal injury or medical malpractice plaintiff firm • Strong knowledge of New York court procedures and personal injury litigation • Knowledge of case management systems like Filevine, Smartadvocate, Clio, etc. • Knowledge of Dropbox • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently • Self-starter with a practical, problem-solving mindset • Desire to learn, take ownership of cases, and support a solo attorney • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel • Strong written and verbal communication skills Compensation: $55,000 - $75,000 per year
