Paralegal
White Collar Criminal Law

Downtown Miami

A prestigious law firm in Downtown Miami is seeking an experienced and top-level Paralegal with 5 or more years' criminal litigation and trial experience to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated, energetic Paralegal who wants to be hands-on in the defense of high-stakes criminal cases. This role offers involvement in every stage of litigation—from strategy meetings to trial prep and time in the courtroom. You’ll work closely with attorneys, as well as experts, investigators, consultants, witnesses, vendors, and clients.

Job Duties:

• Review and organize discovery
• Research social media, public records, and online databases
• E-file pleadings on PACER and with state courts
• Prepare subpoenas and track responses and compliance
• Communicate with experts, consultants, and witnesses
• Organize exhibits for hearings and trial
• Prepare and manage witness and exhibit lists
• Create PowerPoint and other trial presentations
• Prepare tables of contents and tables of authorities
• Format and proofread motions and briefs
• Meet with clients, including those who may be incarcerated
• Handle administrative tasks such as calendaring deadlines, redacting documents, and Bates stamping
• Travel overnight as needed, as the firm represents clients nationwide

Requirements:

• Experience preparing civil or criminal cases for trial as a litigation paralegal
• Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms, including Relativity
• Comfortable working in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Highly organized and able to juggle multiple deadlines
• Spanish is a plus, but not required
