We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. You'll draft legal documents such as affidavits, prepare briefs, conduct legal research for trial preparation, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible. Responsibilities: • Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions • Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues • Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer • Meet or exceed 120 billable hours per month • Communicate with clients, experts, and other parties; provide case updates and gather information • Monitor case progress, deadlines, and key milestones • Draft legal documents, including: Pleadings, motions, court documents, marital settlement agreements, reports, forms, chronologies, and indexes • Prepare cases for mediations, hearings, and trials • Manage discovery , including preparing and organizing responses • Conduct legal research on laws and case precedents • Assist attorneys in court as needed • Enter billable and non-billable time accurately and consistently • Perform administrative tasks (calls, filing, document organization) • Coordinate subpoenas and work with process servers • Prepare exhibits, organize witnesses, and support trial preparation • Draft legal documents such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, briefs, and affidavits • Conduct client interviews and gather relevant case information Qualifications: • 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired • Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills • Completed a paralegal program (Associate’s or equivalent); Bachelor’s preferred • 3+ years of experience in a law firm under an attorney • Experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary is a plus Required Skills • Strong multitasking ability • Excellent written and verbal communication • Strong client-facing/customer service skills • Ability to handle difficult or emotional clients professionally • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and legal staff Preferred • ABA-approved paralegal certification or advanced paralegal education Compensation: $64,000 - $90,000 yearly DOE plus incentives
