Our expert team of clinicians and educators provides a range of services, from evaluations and testing, personalized education plans, IEP second-opinions, and skills interventions and remediation support for a range of conditions including dyslexia, ADHD, anxiety and behavioral concerns. Our services enable students to get to the root of their challenges and provide them the resources and encouragement to succeed in the classroom by helping them build confidence in their unique strengths and strategies to work around weaknesses. 

    Backed by $3mm in funding, we are now looking to bring together an incredible team of individuals to help further our mission of uniting the best of technology and traditional care to change how the world perceives, diagnoses, and treats learning differences in students.  ABOUT THE ROLE:

    We are looking to hire a licensed clinical psychologist (licensed to practice as part of PSYPACT) with experience as an evaluator. Our ideal candidate has a passion for supporting children with learning differences and their families. Parallel is on a mission to reinvent the care model for children with learning differences by uniting the best of technology and traditional care. With that in mind, we are searching for a clinician who has both a solid foundation in the field of clinical psychology as well as the passion to be part of the journey that makes these ideas more accessible. 

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Conduct neurodevelopmental assessments and/or tests for diagnostic purposes
    • Develop an individualized treatment plan for each child
    • Educate family members on what they can do for their child or how to respond to certain behaviors
    • Educate student's teachers on what they can do for their student or how to respond to certain behaviors
    • Provide complete documentation and records of assessments and treatments according to in-house policies
    • Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer, this is a part-time or full-time, remote position for clinicians licensed to practice as part of PSYPACT

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

    • Must have a graduate degree in psychology from an APA-accredited program. A Ph.D. or. Psy.D. in clinical or child psychology would be strongly desired
    • Experience with evaluating common learning differences (i.e. dyslexia), ADHD, and other social-cognitive and mood-related conditions
    • Several years' practical experience working with children in a clinical setting. Additional experience working in a school setting would be desired
    • Excellent communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate with children of different ages and from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
    • A strong understanding of the neurodevelopmental underpinnings of learning differences
    • Experience with all commonly used tests of cognition, achievement, and processing
    • Flexible thinking with the ability to work with challenging cases in a fast-paced environment
    • Tech-savvy and experience with conducting tele-health services on virtual meeting platforms
    • Must have private workspace with secure internet connection
    • Must have the desire to serve and work to fulfill the mission of Parallel Learning

    A BIT MORE ABOUT PARALLEL:

    We're building the first APA-approved tele-assessment platform to conduct virtual psychological assessments to diagnose Dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning or thinking differences. Upon receiving a diagnosis, students may also work with top educational and mental health specialists through Parallel to devise learning strategies, build on strengths and gain confidence in themselves.

    JOB TYPE: PART-TIME

    LOCATION: REMOTE

    PAY: $100.00 - $150.00 PER HOUR
