Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Services or Paramedicine and completion of an accredited paramedic training program and 1 year of related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, completion of an accredited paramedic training program and 7 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services.
- Current certification as a National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic.
- Current state certification or licensure as a paramedic preferred (Must be able to obtain a Kentucky state certification as a paramedic within 90 days).
- Current healthcare provider BLS and ACLS certification.
- Must successfully complete a physical agility test.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any security clearances required for this position according to Army Regulation 50- 6 (Chemical Surety).
- ABLS – Advanced Burn Life Support.
- PHTLS – Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Advanced life support and trauma qualifications, to include extrication of persons from constrained places, bend and lift, and perform CPR for extended periods of time
- Skills in verbal and written communication.
- Working knowledge in basic computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Access.
- The ability to lift and maneuver with assistance and without difficulty.
- The ability to walk up and down stairs without difficulty and the ability to lift and carry up and down two flights of stairs with assistance and without difficulty.
- The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- The ability to walk one-quarter of a mile without difficulty and without affecting the immediate performance of job-related duties.
- Can handle extreme stress in crisis situations.
- Ability to assess emergency scenes.
- Operate standard equipment; such as stretchers, cots, patient care monitors, and standard diagnostic equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently certified to collect urine drug screens.
- Currently certified to conduct saliva and breathe alcohol testing.
- Currently certified as a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist through (CAOHC).
- Currently certified to perform pulmonary function testing per NIOSH.
- Has taken the Toxic Chemical Training for Medical Support Personnel Course.
- Working knowledge of the Chemical Surety program.
Required Languages:
- Excellent written and oral English.
Travel / Rotation Requirements:
- Some travel may be required.

Additional Information
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
Comp: Min $38 Max $42
