    Job Description

    Manufacturing company located in Austell has an immediate need for an experienced Customer Service Representative to join their Purchasing Department as an indefinite contract employee.

    Qualified candidates will be comfortable working within the office for a 2 to 3 week time span while being trained, and once training is complete will need to be comfortable working from home, remotely.  Company will supply all equipment needed, except phone; must be comfortable using own cellular device.  

    Candidates will have at least 2 years of customer service experience, ideal customer service experience to be within inventory control, abiding by accounting policies and financial control procedures, will be able to handle difficult customers, have attention to detail when entering large orders into the system, go-getter personality and someone who takes pride in their work.  

    Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing superior customer service support to all customers and vendors for brokerage.  

    • Enter purchase orders, manage each customer account and inventory, apply existing inventory to new orders.
    • Communicates with all sales representatives and facilities to maintain accurate flow of shipment from beginning to end of the order process.
    • Resolves problems efficiently and effectively.  Process corrective actions.
    • Communicate requests/changes to scheduling/converting/shipping.
    • Answer customer calls and respond to emails in a timely fashion. 
    • Schedule releases for customer orders.  
    • Process customer quotes under a truckload. 
    • Keep an organized file system of hard copy customer and system purchase orders. 
    • Enters completed orders into system and run reports for management upon request.

     

    Qualifications:

    • High School diploma, 4 year degree is preferred
    • Must have ability to multitask in fast paced environment
    • Ability to think critically and act in good judgement 
    • Must have PC skills in Microsoft Office 
    • Comfortable working with numbers and have good math skills 
    • Possess excellent customer service skills and be a self-starter
    • Work under immediate supervisor 
    • Ability to resolve problems and meet deadlines under pressure

     

    Starting hourly pay range is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 1 hour for lunch.  Indefinite long term contract opportunity.
