    Paramount Depot is searching for a professional, self-motivated individual to fill the role of Logistics Coordinator. The Logistics Coordinator will schedule all inbound/outbound shipments, provide supervision to our warehouse team, and strive to get the orders expedited with a sense of urgency. The successful candidate will also be responsible for prioritizing tasks to meet expected shipping dates and maintain an accurate inventory This individual will be responsible for tracking the shipments. In addition, the position requires you to review import container bookings and provide tracking. Responsibilities: • Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments • Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels • Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy • Making special shipping arrangements as necessary • Tracking and fixing shipping errors • Preparing bills and invoices • Managing distribution and shipment budgets • Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards • Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized   Qualifications: • Vessel tracking on Carrier websites and by phone • Must have Freight Forwarding experience • Confirm Government inspection times with the carriers • Checking for Government agency releases utilizing specialized website (software) • Notify the customer in writing if cargo is on hold and keep them informed of delays and expected releases • Send delivery orders to carriers/truckers several days prior to release to ensure truck power availability • Contact carriers/truckers and arrange for delivery of cargo once the cargo has cleared Customs • Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email • Update customer chart as new shipments arrive • Review new documentation and send packages to Customs at ports that require hard copies • All issues discussed by phone with a customer, steamship line, or government agency must be followed up by email • Prepare necessary Government documentation for movement of cargo for fumigation/inspection (transmittal of EAN, COC, PIT) Compensation: $ 35,000 - $40,000
