Job Overview:
The Paraplanner Associate works closely with the Lead Financial Advisors, is involved in all aspects of the business and takes a critical role in the growth of the practice. The Paraplanner supports the Advisor in preparing for Client meetings, developing customized personal Financial Plans for new and existing Clients and delegates follow up items to the Team. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail oriented and able to communicate effectively and efficiently with Clients.
Role and Responsibilities:
Collaboration with other team members
Address financial planning related questions from clients
Monitor the work that other departments complete for mutual clients to ensure it is in line with client’s overall financial plan
Gather and input client financial information into eMoney
Manage Precise FP, a data gathering tool that works with eMoney
Assist clients with using PreciseFP and WealthVision
Talk with each client before their advisor meeting to ensure financial data is complete and accurate
Note any questions or concerns clients have during phone call and communicate this with advisor
Performs analysis of information received
Provide positive and professional service to clients
Build and maintain a relationship with clients
Maintain updated client information and notes in CRM, to ensure integrity of database
Be prepared to communicate client financial plans, questions, and any pertinent situations that may impact clients’ financial plans during the weekly planning meetings with advisors
Maintain and improve existing Financial Planning processes
Requirements:
A 4-year degree with an emphasis in Finance, Financial Planning, or Economics AND/OR 1–5+ years of experience in wealth management, RIA operations, or financial planning
Strong understanding of key financial planning concepts - i.e. differences between Traditional vs. Roth IRAs, tax impacts, contribution rules, and common planning strategies
Experience with any of the following systems (training provided where needed)
eMoney or similar planning software
LPL ClientWorks
CRM
Strong organizational skills, detail orientation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred
Series 7 and/or Series 65 licenses (or willingness to obtain)
Experience in a technical paraplanner, analyst, or senior analyst role
Familiarity with alternative investments and subscription platforms
Desire to pursue CFP down the road (not required)
Prior experience in a growing or boutique RIA environment

Pay: $55,000-$75,000 Salary
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person, Maple Grove
