    Location: Remote (Candidates need to reside within 2 hours of Glen Ellyn, IL)

    Our client is seeking a Paraplanner who enjoys working in a team-oriented, independent office setting to deliver a high-quality planning experience. This individual will collaborate closely with the financial advisor to provide financial planning and investment advisory support. Key responsibilities include preparing financial plans, administering portfolios, enhancing the client experience, and coordinating client service needs with team members.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Master and improve the functionality of various programs. Research, recommend, and implement technology upgrades as needed.
    • Generate new client paperwork and manage the new client onboarding process.
    • Assist in client appointment preparation, take notes during appointments, enter client notes into the CRM system, and manage follow-up workflows.
    • Prepare risk analysis for the advisor using appropriate tools.
    • Process trades as directed and rebalance portfolios.
    • Prepare and mail monthly client statements.
    • Research investments and make recommendations on additions or subtractions to the core investment watch list. Engage with investment fund representatives and participate in relevant webinars. Assist with portfolio allocations, models, and rebalancing.
    • Manage projects aimed at improving company scalability, automating processes, enhancing client experience, and driving new business development.
    • Collaborate with the Financial Advisor in creating financial plans for clients, including investment reviews, retirement modeling, insurance analysis, tax planning, college planning, Social Security analysis, pension analysis, and other wealth management needs.
    • Research ad-hoc topics and complete special projects as assigned.
    • Assist in marketing initiatives, including analytics, social media, client material, blog content, and website updates.
    • Provide daily resolution for custodial alerts, client requests, and other back-office support tasks.

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years in the wealth management industry
    • Experience trading
    • Experience with MoneyGuide Pro and NFS (preferred but not required)

    Compensation

    • $30-$35/hour
    • 15-20 hours per week
