Paraprofessional Aide for Autism Program South Florida Autism Charter Schools is hiring Paraprofessional Aides for their K-12 program: • Contract dates are August 3, 2026, through June 3, 2027 • Schedule is 7:20 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. (Instructional Days only) • $18 per hour starting salary (does not include Benefits and Paid Time Off) • Fluent English is required Responsibilities: • Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily instructional activities, lesson plans, and classroom routines. • Prepare and maintain the learning environment, including instructional materials, supplies, and classroom organization. • Supervise students and ensure their safety at all times, including monitoring behavior and reporting concerns to the Lead Teacher. • Provide support with personal care needs, including hygiene, toileting, feeding, and dressing as needed. • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly classroom environment and assist with general housekeeping duties. • Attend required staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities. • Perform instructional, clerical, and other related duties as assigned by the Lead Teacher, Principal, or administration. Qualifications: • A high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred; a bachelor’s degree is a plus. • For all positions, prior experience working in the public school system, working with children with disabilities, and/or Applied Behavior Analysis is preferred. • Background screening required (cannot begin working without background screening); a valid Social Security card is required. Fingerprint fee is $97, paid by applicant at screening facility; Drug screening fee is $35, deducted from first paycheck. • Fluent English is required. • Must participate in 4 Staff Trainings and 3 Staff Events per school year. Compensation: $18 per hour
