    We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team at Oakwood Treatment Center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting adolescents with behavioral health challenges and a commitment to improving their quality of life. In this role, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, providing direct care and support to residents as they work toward their personal growth and recovery goals.

    • Base pay $14 per hour, with guaranteed overtime
    • 1st shift is 5:30 am to 5:30 pm or 2nd shift is 5:30 pm to 5:30 am
    • 12 hour shifts of 3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off
    • Oakwood Treatment Center is a drug-free workplace. All applicants are subject to a drug test as a condition of employment.
    • Required: High School Diploma or GED

    Responsibilities:

    • Build and maintain supportive relationships with residents, promoting a safe and therapeutic environment.
    • Assist residents with daily living activities,
    • Implement and follow treatment plans as developed by clinical staff, providing encouragement and support to residents.
    • Observe and document resident behaviors and progress, reporting any changes or concerns to clinical staff.
    • Facilitate group activities and therapeutic sessions to enhance residents’ social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care for all residents.
    • Manage crisis situations calmly and effectively, implementing de-escalation techniques as necessary.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
    • Participate in training and ongoing education to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health care.
    • Uphold the dignity and respect of all residents, ensuring their rights and privacy are always protected.

    Qualifications:

    - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred. - Previous experience in a residential behavioral health setting is highly desirable. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents from diverse backgrounds. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently when necessary. - Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail. - Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
