Logistics Manager
Parian Logistics provides third-party logistics and centralized corporate support services to a group of affiliated Canadian clothing retailers, including Warehouse One, Ricki’s, Bootlegger, and cleo (the business units). Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Parian Logistics’ corporate support services include accounting and finance, logistics management, IT, and store construction services.
We are looking for a Logistics Manager to join our team! Our Logistics Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day freight, transportation, and logistics functions for Parian Logistics’ clients while delivering exceptional customer service.
More specifically our Logistics Manager will:
Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide an efficient and cost-effective transportation network
Manage inbound and outbound freight shipped to and from the company while working with customs officials to ensure compliance
Manage contracts and service level agreements for third party suppliers and/or service providers at a competitive price with established standards of service
Establish ongoing improvement plans for freight, vendor, and carrier management/routing
Develop, implement, report on, and monitor key performance metrics for transportation, shipping and receiving to key stakeholders
Support and collaborate with internal transportation coordinators within the organizations serviced
Ensure contingency policies and practices are in place to prevent/eliminate business disruption
Champion efficiency and cost reduction measures within areas of responsibility
Ensure and report on service provider adherence to service level agreements
Maintain process documentation for areas of responsibility
Provide superior customer service to clients serviced aligned with Parian Logistics’ DC2 values
Parian Logistics is looking for an individual to fill this role who has the following education, skills and experience;
University degree in Business, Logistics or related field or equivalent experience
Minimum 5+ years of direct work experience in a logistics, transportation, or supply chain management role
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
Focused on positive customer experiences and delivering superior service to clients
Supply chain/logistics management designation preferred
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
