    Job Summary

    The primary objective of the host is to greet and seat guests in a timely, friendly, and professional manner. You set the tone for a positive dining experience for guests entering the restaurant. Host are responsible for answering the phone, taking to go orders, and booking reservations.

    Responsibilities

    Greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner

    Moving reservations around to seat servers’ sections evenly trying to follow the rotation when possible

    Guiding guests to their table and letting them know who their server will be

    Keeping Resy up to date with the course each table is on so you can properly plot future reservations

    Using the waitlist effectively

    Checking on the bathrooms during the shift to make sure they are clean and stocked properly

    Communication with service staff and managers about any issues with tables or guests

    Answering the phone for reservations, to go orders, guest questions

    Being at the host stand to thank guests for coming and dining and wishing them a good night
