    Job Description

    Headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, Park & Eleazer Construction is an exciting and rapidly growing company specializing in Commercial Construction with a High End Residential/Multifamily Division. Our work includes many sectors including grocery, automotive, self storage, retail, office, municipal, multifamily, etc.

    WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

    • Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written

    • Ability to interpret information from a variety of sources and create consistent, accurate, and useful documents

    • Ability to work under time pressures with multiple priorities while able to meet deadlines with accuracy
    • Comfort with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment
    • Juris Doctorate
    • Admission to Florida State Bar
    • Proficient in Microsoft office suite (with heavy emphasis on Word and Excel)
    • 5 – 7+ years of construction-related or real estate development legal experience

     

    WHAT IS PREFERRED FOR THIS POSITION

    · Procore or other project management software experience

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    • Draft and negotiate construction agreements with owners and manage relationships with owner legal contacts
    • Negotiate subcontract revisions and manage relationships with subcontractor legal contacts
    • Draft and negotiate easements and access agreements with adjacent landowners
    • Advise on subcontractor default issues and draft default letters
    • Manage construction-related litigation, lien-related issues and insurance claims
    • Provide legal support and crisis management support for onsite incidents
    • Document and track construction-related obligations such as required delivery dates and MBE participation requirements
    • Draft force majeure and owner delay notifications
    • Review construction-related financing agreements (e.g., owner-requested assignments of construction agreements, construction delivery requirements in loan agreements)
    • Manage construction and architecture licensing requirements
    • Negotiate field office leases
