Responsibilities include assisting our dental staff with examinations and procedures, obtaining dental records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring our patients leave our practice with a smile. Responsibilities: • Walk patients through a good oral health care regime so they can maintain a healthy smile • Aid dentists and dental hygienists during examinations and procedures by handing them dental instruments and make sure patients’ mouths are comfortable, dry, and accessible to the dentist • Write down treatment information after every visit and ensure patient records include current dental histories • Support staff with administrative duties such as saying hello to patients, answering phones and making appointments for upcoming dental visits, ordering supplies, and handling billing • Inform patients about proper oral health care to prevent infections after dental procedures • Help educate parents and children on the importance of good oral health care • Assist providers with dental operative procedures • Assist the patient through the oral hygiene process, coronal polishing, and X-rays • Sterilize instruments • Support the clinical team • Prepare treatment rooms Qualifications: • Have the ability to give patients exceptional care and service • Excellent multitasking, interpersonal, and communication skills • Able to perform basic computer and data entry tasks • Must have an associate degree in an accredited dental assistant program • Candidates must have graduated from a dental assistant program • Must have dental radiology/x-ray certification Compensation: $20 - $30 hourly
