The team at ParkerBeth Search, your go to for construction recruitment, is working alongside one of our premier clients in search of a skilled and well rounded Superintendent to join a team of elite individuals who focus on open store IT and new build projects all across California.
Our client works with a handful of well known brick and mortar retail stores across California. They are the exclusive contractor handling all new builds, IT's and renovations for these stores. They are the leading retail general contractor throughout California and the Western United States.
To be successful in this role:

- You are organized and you have the ability to think outside of the box, manage deadlines, and think a few steps ahead
- You come from a retail construction or similar background
- You take safety and compliance seriously and understand the importance behind rules and regulations
- Can read and build daily, weekly, and longer, look aheads
- Can read blueprints across multiple trades
- You understand how to run and manage a team and project keeping to a tight timeline and wrapping up loose ends without issues
- You are confident but ego free, ready to roll up your sleeves and support your team
- Comfortable with travel, up to a week at a time. Projects are all over CA and will require travel flexibility (all company paid)
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in a Superintendent role required
- 3+ years’ experience building/remodeling in the following industries: retail, hospitality, fuel stations, open store remodels, fast food; show experience in the last 5 years required
- Has a background working with refrigeration, coolants, freezers, walk ins, or other similar features in a retail or warehouse construction environment.
- Computer skilled in Microsoft Office Suite(Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Project, Word)
- Intermediate proficiency with ProCore is a plus.
- Possession of a valid CA Driver’s License, good driving history, and dependable transportation is required, and pass a background check.
- Current OSHA 10 and CPR certification a plus
- Available for extended travel to work sites and overnight stays
- Able to perform general physical tasks such as lifting items up to 50 pounds, kneeling, bending, standing, climbing, repetitive motion, use of hand tools, etc.
