ParkerBeth Search Partners is seeking a BI Developer for one of our key clients. This is a FULL-TIME/HYBRID opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits plan. This position is 90% remote and based in the San Fransico Bay Area, which would best suit someone living in California in a nearby radius to attend in-office meetings on occasion.

Position Summary:

The BI Developer will be responsible for having expert knowledge, understanding, and insight regarding all company data. This role will create and develop reports, visualizations, dashboards, and tools to solve business challenges and opportunities across the enterprise. The ideal candidate for this position is a curious mind, jack of all trades type, who enjoys showing their work through presentations that can be understood by team members from various departments. This position requires troubleshooting code, diving deep into data, and presenting the visualizations simple and easy to understand. The BI Developer requires a joy for learning new platforms and programming languages, as well as a passion for radiating data information to others through providing high-quality data synthesis. This role calls for someone who speaks the truth and desires to spread their high capacity of information to others. 

Job responsibilities for the BI Developer:

• Report to the IT Application Manager for all development updates and issues
• Provide leadership to the California application team for business intelligence and data analytics
• Partner with overseas business and IT team members to deliver global reporting solutions
• Understanding business stakeholders' objectives
• Turn business requirements into technical ones
• Find and understand the correct data sources for a given analysis
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
• Design, build and deploy BI solutions through reports, visualizations, and dashboards
• Provide daily support on all BI projects to the development team
• Collaborate across teams to integrate systems and information processes
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems through standards and leverageable design

Skills/Qualifications

• 5+ years of creating and managing reports and interactive dashboards in Microsoft's suite of BI applications (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and PowerBI)
• 3+ years of experience in SQL query writing, with the ability to write complex, highly optimized queries across large volumes of data
• Experience building and troubleshooting BI environments and reports in the Microsoft Azure platform
• Experience and proof of implementing a BI platform from the ground up
• A high degree of analytic capability and inductive thinking is required to devise new, non-standard approaches to highly intricate, technically complex problems
• Demonstrable strategic thinking and planning capability
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Experience helping to define business requirements and to evaluate proposed technical and process solutions to meet those requirements
• Experience in working with remote teams, and matrixed reporting environments
• Comfortable and having experience in working within Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid development methodologies delivering systems development enhancements
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills, and the ability to persuade others through calm fact-based reasoning
• Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across all levels of the company
• Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in your environment with shifting priorities
• Strong planning, organizing, communication, and presentation skills
• Self-directed, and possess excellent initiative and organizational skills
• Strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy
• Ability to work proficiently with little daily guidance
• Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
• Work well under stress with the ability to deliver on time
