    Your Role with the Company:

    The IT Manager is responsible for the management of end-user applications, maintaining support for a positive user experience, managing the IT Support team and outsourced vendor relationships, and managing technology application projects. This role will design and manage helpdesk handling and escalation policies and procedures. In consultation with the Director of IT, establish and maintain IT Support service level agreements to establish issue resolution expectations and timeframes. Work with IT managers and staff, and coordinate software fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications. Participate in industry associations and writings to identify emerging products and trends that may prove valuable to IT Support and/or end users. Collaborate across departments to identify and procure applications valuable to IT Support and to end users generally. Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources to aid in problem resolution. Manage projects related to end-user support using industry-standard Project Management practices (such as those from the Project Management Professionals Association). Monitor and test fixtures to ensure problems have been adequately resolved. Work with the Firm’s training resources on the development and dissemination of help sheets, usage guides, and FAQ lists for end users.

    Background Profile:

    • Must have a Law Firm tech background.
    • BA/BS degree in computer science or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
    • Expertise in Windows Client Operating System, Microsoft Office Suite, PDF editing software (e.g., Adobe Acrobat), Legal macro suites (e.g., Crowther), EMS (help desk tracking software), Redlining Software (e.g., Workshare Compare), Document Management System software (e.g., NetDocuments), and System, Process and Software Certifications preferred.
    • Across the Firm as a whole, create an environment for the IT Support team that projects confidence in timely, effective, and respectful resolution of end-user issues.
    • Manage end-user applications software, including selection, administration, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting.
    • Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of newly-acquired end-user desktops and associated application software. Acquire and support macros based on user requests and observed needs.
    • Office environment + the ability to work from home.
