    Position Summary:

    The Technical Product Owner will be the subject matter expert by applying their technical background to build a deep understanding of the company's cutting-edge technology to guide product strategy. Working alongside data scientists and engineers, the Technical Product Owner will be an integral part of designing and developing scalable solutions to meet the growing needs of financial institution clients. This role is highly technical and requires a collaborative, strategic, and entrepreneurial mindset with a background in finance, banking, crypto, and risk management. The Technical Product Owner mirrors the views and needs of the target audience, stakeholders, and the businesses they represent. 

    Job responsibilities for the Technical Product Owner:

    • Define the ideation, technical roadmap, and launch of innovative products
    • Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers, preparing and managing requirements for product features and ensuring cohesion between strategic goals and deliverables, including timelines and milestone commitments
    • Attach a business or customer value to each story/task in the backlog to ensure that the company is building features that are genuinely wanted/needed by users
    • Have a clear picture of competitors and the market for similar products/services to avoid "reinventing" something that already exists
    • Be familiar with existing UX/UI through personal use of other/existing apps/services to know what can be done/re-used
    • Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases
    • Integrate usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
    • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
    • Act as the main point of contact between teams and stakeholders
    • Be able to understand and anticipate stakeholder requirements in the development process
    • Partner with the development team to continuously improve processes and activities to maximize development consistency and efficiency, while minimizing risk
    • Work collaboratively across teams - including Engineering, Data Science, and Client Services.
    • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
    • Understand the company's unique value proposition and deliver products that are recognized as the best in the industry

    Skills/Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
    • 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner, from inception to completion of the lifecycle in a start-up environment
    • 5+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, UI/UX design in one or more of these areas: banking, finance, fraud assessment, risk-management/assessment, behavioral analytics or related products, and high-volume transactions
    • Experience with Scrum and Agile development methodologies, including the creation and management of user stories
    • High-level of expertise and proficiency in using applications and tools
    • Back-end reliability, efficiency, and quality performance
    • Ability to work within a global team environment
    • Analytical problem-solving skills for large-scale systems and experience writing codes and queries
    • Ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management
    • Detail oriented with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
