    Your Contribution

    • Provides technical support while working independently under the direction of the Crew Chief, Survey
    • Technician/LSIT, and/or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)
    • Works closely with survey crew chief and office staff to ensure complete and accurate survey data
    • collection, note keeping, field sketches
    • Utilizes survey equipment to map existing features of the survey including but not limited to locations,
    • shapes, elevations, and dimensions of land or features upon the land
    • Performs field survey activities compliant with standards set by the company, state, and AEC/Surveying
    • industry
    • Operates and has knowledge of survey equipment functions, capabilities, and limitations
    • Maintains, upkeeps, and organizes office location survey shop/storage
    • Participates in a team environment to achieve team/company goals
    • Complies with all policies, practices, and procedures to ensure safe working conditions and environment

    Your qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent; Land survey education preferred but not required
    • Experience with topographic surveys, boundary retracement surveys, and construction staking preferred
    • Valid state issued driver’s license and clean driving record to meet company insurance requirements
    • Basic computer skills (AutoCAD/Civil 3d experience a plus)
    • High attention to detail and strong analytic skills
    • Ability to communicate well both verbally and with written communication (notes, emails, etc.)
    • Ability to work well in a team environment
    • Ability to lift, carry, and use survey equipment/supplies, some equipment/supplies weighing up to 50+ pounds
    • Ability to work overtime as needed
    • Willing to travel and stay overnight for project locations over 2 hours from home office
