    Parking Planner & Analyst (Contract)

    • Location: Norfolk, VA
    • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Job Type: Contract (Full-Time)
    • Pay: $27.36 – $28.36/hour

    Overview

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Parking Planner & Analyst to support data-driven decision making for a large-scale parking operation. This role combines data analysis, planning, and operational insight to improve parking utilization, revenue performance, and overall service delivery.

    This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in analytics, planning, or operations who enjoy turning data into actionable strategies.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze parking utilization, demand, and revenue trends
    • Conduct parking studies, forecasting, and operational analyses
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports (Power BI, Excel, etc.)
    • Manage data collection systems and reporting processes
    • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
    • Support strategic planning and performance tracking initiatives
    • Evaluate parking regulations, policies, and effectiveness
    • Prepare presentations, reports, and recommendations for leadership
    • Assist with project management, planning studies, and implementation efforts
    • Automate and streamline reporting and analytics processes

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business, economics, finance, statistics, or related field
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools

    Preferred

    • Experience in data analysis, planning, or policy analysis
    • Experience with Power BI or data visualization tools
    • Background in operations, logistics, transportation, or municipal services
    • Experience translating data into actionable insights and recommendations
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience with performance metrics, forecasting, or strategic planning
