    Job Summary:

    The Global Integrated Facilities Planning (IFP) team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and refining the integrated multi-year asset re-investment strategies for our Walt Disney Parks and Resorts (WDPR). This includes supporting all five (5) Segment IFP Planning teams worldwide with the development of their site-specific near-term plans for review, approval and implementation. The Global IFP team focuses on managing the long range IFP, including forecasting, trending, and future risk awareness. The team is responsible for continually fostering and growing global alignment to program timelines and consistent program delivery, allowing for site specific influences and reactionary flexibility to current environments. The Database Analyst as a representative of the Global IFP team, supports the analysis and forecasting needs of current and future year Integrated Facilities Plans for global sites. The Analyst will evaluate trend data to develop emerging strategic opportunities, identify data challenges, and assist the Global IFP team in targeting efforts toward improving data integrity. The role will utilize organic data sources, as well as partner data from site program managers and finance teams to further assist clients to understand current, and future year programs directionally. The role will drive standardizing methodologies for future data evaluation needs through partnering with site leaders. FOS includes safety, engineering, maintenance, utilities, manufacturing, construction, distribution services and project management organizations for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts (WDPR). As this role has global responsibility, an ideal candidate has a high level of comfort in working with partners across the FOS organization, finance and international peers.

    Responsibilities:

    YOU WILL:

    • Identify and document data requirements to support both ongoing and ad hoc analysis
    • Quality assurance of data to ensure accuracy
    • Analyze and mine data to find opportunities for improvement
    • Undertake proactive and reactive ad-hoc requests
    • Convey information that "tells the story"; provide value-added insight to help make recommendations
    • Ensure partners understand the data/tables/processes
    • Create more efficient and sophisticated analytical insights

    Basic Qualifications:

    YOU HAVE:

    • 3+ years of relational database experience· 3+ years of analytical experience
    • Ability to excel in an ever-changing business environment with multiple client/partner groups

    • Proficiency in SQL, R, and/or Python programming languages·
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
    • Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Business Objects· Experience with Tririga, Maximo or other facility planning software
    • Willingness to adjust work schedule, as needed, to cater to time zone of partner clients in need of completing training modules
    • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong facilitation skills
    • Strong attention to detail, organization and follow through skills
    • Exhibit professional excellence, process oriented with a technical foundation

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of relational database experience
    • 5+ years of analytical experience
    • Apply statistical thoughtfulness to analyses
    • Experience with data warehouse platforms such as My SQL, SQL Server
    • Knowledge of "big data" environments and tools
    • Knowledge of existing Disney systems for ease of integration/adoption of new tools
    • Previous WDPR FOS work experience with proven relationships
    • Programming expertise with Data analytical reporting tools (I.e., Oracle, SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.)
    • Familiarity with technical aspects of construction and maintenance work and methods
    • Interest with data story-telling

    Required Education

    • Bachelor of Science in analytical/quantitative field – e.g. statistics, engineering, data analytics, etc.

    Preferred Education

    • Master of Science, Engineering, or Business Administration
