    Parkside is looking for a self-motivated, technically savvy Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our growing Product Development team. As an advocate and driver of quality, the successful candidate will create automation testing tools and frameworks to enhance quality assurance processes across the organization.

    Our Engineering Team enjoys being productive using modern Agile/Kanban techniques to deliver value to our customers on a sustainable cadence. We are looking for an SDET with strong technical and people skills to help our business succeed. Come join us!

    Job Responsibilities

    • Drive test automation framework development.
    • Coordinate the test tools and automation development effort across multiple product teams.
    • Able to find bottlenecks, race conditions, and thresholds in existing code with the help of automation tools.
    • Train and mentor QA and Development Engineers on automation best practices, tools and strategy.
    • Promote architecting for testability within the development process.
    • Pro-actively recommend process and tool improvements.
    • Help maintain test automation environments.
    • Research test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrade existing practices and processes.
    • Using strong interpersonal and communication skills, share best practices with the Product Development Team and potentially larger audiences.

    Required skills and experience

    • 7+ years in QA role
    • 3+ years of SDET experience
    • Experience developing and designing test automation frameworks,
    • Experience testing high transactional microservices architecture.
    • Experience testing mobile and web applications.
    • Experience of working "AGILE + DevOps" process management methodology.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, including isolating bugs in complex code.
    • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven – must have constant attention to detail.
    • Ability to think independently and take initiative to make the project succeed.
    • The ability to keep current with the constantly changing technology industry.
    • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required; must be able to represent QA to internal and external customers and vendors.

    Desired skills and experience

    • Domain knowledge in stock brokerage business and willingness to analyze regulations and rules.
    • Willingness to assist with manual testing of new functionality.
    • Experience working in agile/iterative product lifecycle.
    • AWS Cloud Services, Docker, TerraForm, Kubernetes, GraphQL, Cognitect Datomic, or any part of our tech stack.
    • Internationalization.
