    Parkside Manor LLC. is an assisted living and mental illness assisted living facility in Bowling Green, MO. We provide supportive services to individuals who can function independently in most areas of activity, but need special guidance, assistance and/or monitoring.

    We are looking for a CNA to provide patient care. In this position, you will work under the supervision of an RN and assist staff members as needed. You are responsible taking patients’ vital signs, observing residents, general care, and maintaining records. Our ideal candidate has experience in elderly care, long term care, or memory care at a nursing home, assisted living facility, or hospital. We are seeking someone who can provide the highest standard of care for our residents.

    This is a full-time position on our evening shift from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm or our night shift from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. This position has a pay rate of $14.00 per hour + shift differential of .50 cent per hour.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Work with other medical professionals to establish consistent and comprehensive care routines.
    • Track patients’ vitals and report to a nurse or physician if they change significantly.
    • Turning or moving patients.
    • Gathering medical supplies.
    • Bathing patients.
    • Grooming patients by brushing their hair, teeth, shaving them, etc.
    • Feeding patients and documenting their food and liquid intake.
    • Answering patient calls.
    • Documenting information.
    • Cleaning rooms and bed linens.
    • Stocking supplies.
    • Assisting with some medical procedures.
    • Transporting patients.
    • Taking care of wounds.
    • Documenting information.
    • Help us maintain a hygienic work environment.
    • Follow all health and safety standards.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Patience and compassion when working with residents and family members.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and team members

    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including customer service, patience, empathy, and compassion.
    • Effective communication skills, including active listening, writing, speaking, and reading comprehension.

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or GED preferred.
    • Prior work experience in a direct patient care setting or in a long term/assisted living care facility preferred.
    • Must be compassionate and personable.
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments.
    • Ability to handle emotional and stressful situations in a professional manner while remaining calm.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to remain standing for entire length of shift.
    • Occasionally sitting, Constant walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
    • Must be in good physical health to be able to lift and move patients, and to be able to walk or stand for long periods of time.
