    Job Description

    We are seeking a Brand Planner to join our team! This is a fast paced environment and requires high energy level and the ability to multi-task. The Brand Planner is responsible for purchasing, planning, expediting, and inventory control.

    DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    PURCHASING:

    • Request quotes
    • Assist in sourcing all components for salable cosmetic brands
    • Enter purchase orders and send to supplier for packaging and components
    • Confirm receipt and delivery dates
    • Provide weekly updates on job status

    EXPEDITING:

    • Follow up existing purchase orders to ensure required ship dates are met
    • Weekly follow-up with fillers for each job

    PLANNING:

    • Coordinate component delivery and plan production runs with fill locations based on forecasts given
    • Maintain production schedule report

    QUALITY CONTROL:

    • Approve solution batches before filling
    • Inspect finished goods to verify they meet our standards

    TRAFFIC:

    • Alert traffic when shipping is a priority
    • Code freight bills with proper brand code/communicate priorities and deadlines to the transportation department
    • Assist with contacting vendor to obtain a delivery appointment as necessary

    INVENTORY CONTROL:

    • Approve and maintain accurate bills of materials prior to accounting running work orders
    • Perform product reconciliations once jobs are complete ensure allowable waste not exceeded by fill house
    • Submit to accounting/finance any inventory adjustments and/or charge backs
    • Submit Inventory Movement Authorizations and Disposal Authorizations when necessary
    • Maintain accurate inventory levels
    • Approve work orders for finance

    PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT:

    • Submit PDR (Product Development Request) to filler/submit new item set up sheets to finance/Create Bill of Material for item
    • Special Projects and/or Reports
    • DAV (Destruction Order) log maintenance and follow up
    • Monthly Inventory Report for finance department
    • Participate in the annual physical inventory
    • Receive and distribute all bulk shipments received from suppliers/fillers
    • Prepare shipments of all material back to suppliers/fillers for the group

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 2-5 years experience in purchasing
    • Proficient computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Must be an analytical thinker, have good judgement and problem solving skills
    • Detail orientated and ability to work independently and in a team setting
    • Can multi-task and work under deadlines
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both written and verbally

    COMPUTER AND OTHER SKILLS USED:

    • Working knowledge of software (SAP, MRP, Real World & AS400 & JDA - optional)
    • Knowledge of brands, vendors, and components
