    What You Will Do:

    As our Cost Accounting Manager, you will be a key member of the finance department and the primary finance contact to support the manufacturing team with all finance aspects.

    • Monitor the financial performance of the operations:
    • Set and monitor cost standards.
    • Analyze variance and exception reports.
    • Review abnormal transactions and purchase price variances.
    • Perform inventory valuation.
    • Cycle count tracking and reporting.
    • Calculate and monitor operation hourly rates.
    • Manage accounts payable:Supervise one account payable clerk.

    Manage the payment process.
    Insure on-time payment of our suppliers.

    • In charge of monthly closing for operations:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

    Prepare and post journal entries.
    Reconcile operation accounts.
    Analyze variance and exception reports.
    Calculate inventory reserves, including excess and obsolete, lower of cost or market inventory variance capitalization, and sales and inventory cutoff.

    • Support internal, external, SOX and DCAA audits.
    • Help streamline and digitalize the finance department.

    What You Must Have:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
    • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing industry.
    • Working knowledge of inventory valuation, standard costing, bill of materials, work orders, cost rates and factors, variances, and inventory reserves.
    • The ability to communicate well with all of our employees, from production to executive and everyone in between.
    • The demonstrated ability to perform supply chain cost analysis and cost benefit analysis.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Truth In Negotiations (TINA) in support of government contract awards, and Syteline are all plusses but not required.
