    General Description:Under the general supervision of the Director of Human Resources, provides high-level coordination and support services requiring advanced knowledge and experience in performing functions involving discretion and confidentiality. The Human Resources Specialist will serve as a high-performing team member and care partner that contributes to Parrish’s Culture of Choice® in a manner that exemplifies Parrish’s mission, vision and values as well as results in the achievement of superior quality, safety and service results on behalf of the people and patients served. The Human Resources Specialist will ensure that his/her key responsibilities meet operating guidelines established by the Game Plan, including but not limited to: Community Investment (Finances), Engaged Partners in Care (People), System Reliability (Quality/Safety), Healing Experience (Service) and Healing Communities (Growth). Key Responsibilities:

    Collaborates with HR team and hiring managers to develop and/or improve programs and services in response to emerging trends and best or leading practices in area(s) of responsibilities. ·

    Participates and contributes to continuous improvement of the HR function.

    Applies and maintains a comprehensive knowledge of and compliance with the HR function and system policies and procedures for the purpose of advising customers (care partners) on the full range of HR functions and assists management in fulfilling their human resources management responsibilities.·

    Demonstrates motivation and initiative in seeking continued professional growth and development. ·

    Identifies knowledge gaps and takes appropriate steps to improve understanding; identifies internal resources as sources of expertise to achieve learning goals.

    Ensures service excellence in always maintained (e.g. prompt, accurate, timely, courteous, respectful, reliable and personalized). Maintains a clean, organized and welcoming work environment. ·

    Clearly and effectively communicates information on a variety of HR and system topics (e.g. orientations, meetings, policies, procedures, etc.) in a manner that meets expectations and is easily understood.

    Coordinates recruitment process in a manner that helps partner the right talent in the right role/position with the right resources to support system achievement of superior results on behalf of the people and patients served. ·

    Administers a wide variety of HR policies and programs (e.g. skills testing, data entry, advertising positions, processing applications, recruitment, separation, verifying employment, orientation, onboarding, APS system, etc.) in a manner that conforms to HR standards for excellence, policies, procedures and relevant laws.

    Coordinates the performance review process including but not limited to retaining required competency, annual training and learning records.·

    Ensures timely, accurate and compliant record-keeping. Develops, interprets and analyzes data extracts and reports from automated HR databases and/or develops the most efficient and effective automated systems approaches for presenting HR reports and graphics for management.

    Provides technical information and guidance to hiring managers on policies and procedures relating to recruitment and placement, classification, system design and position management. ·

    Prepares ad-hoc reports of HR-related functional areas to identify trends and improvements. ·

    Coordinates the post offer and onboarding process to include but not be limited to coordination and scheduling post offer physical/drug screens, ensures completeness of required paperwork, employee badging, and assists customers/employees as necessary. ·

    Coordinates care partner engagement, Total Rewards and retention initiatives (e.g. recognition programs/events, employee engagement survey, benefits enrollment, culture fairs, job fairs, etc.) ·

    Assists HR director and managers with various research projects and/or special projects. ·

    Performs similar or related duties as assigned. ·

    Demonstrates commitment to the organization and its overall mission, vision, values and strategic priorities; practices team talk; and serves a Parrish Healthcare ambassador in the community. ·

    Seeks to understand the strategic direction of the organization and holds self accountable for contributing to the success of the team, department and organization. ·

    Formal Education: Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and experience Work Experience: 2 years to < 3 years professional office experience with at least one to two years in a Human Resources setting. Healthcare experience preferred.Problem Solving: Problems are not standard/routine, but are often similar to those seen before. Solutions can often be found by using methods chosen before in similar situations. Some judgment is required to interpret problems and select appropriate solutions based upon similar situations that have occurred in the past. Responsibility for Directing Others: Responsible for orienting and training others, and assigning and reviewing their work. May also be responsible for acting in a “lead” or “senior” capacity over other positions performing essentially the same work, or related technical tasks and reporting to a higher level on a formal basis (e.g., lead worker) Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations: Human Resource certification(s), preferred
