School Security Officer – Unarmed (Part Time)

Macungie, PA | Afternoon School Hours

Pay: $18.00/hour +$0.25/hour military & active-duty differential

KRE Security, LLC is hiring Unarmed School Security Officers for a permanent part-time assignment in Macungie, Pennsylvania. This position is ideal for dependable officers who prefer weekday afternoon hours, a structured environment, and working in a school setting.

This is a consistent, non-rotating post aligned with the school day schedule.

Schedule – Part Time

Monday–Friday

2:45 PM – 6:45 PM

School-day afternoon coverage

Ideal for supplemental income, retirees, or second-job candidates

No overnight or rotating shifts

What You’ll Be Doing

Maintain a visible, professional security presence on school grounds

Monitor access points and student/staff movement

Conduct routine foot patrols of assigned areas

Observe, document, and respond to incidents or safety concerns

Assist with dismissal-period safety and supervision

Complete daily activity and incident reports (Belfry Software)

Enforce post orders, school policies, and standard operating procedures

Communicate clearly with school staff, supervisors, and fellow officers

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older

High school diploma or GED

Prior experience preferred, not required, in:

Unarmed security

Military service

Law enforcement

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Professional appearance and calm demeanor

Reliable attendance and punctuality

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation

Must pass a background check

Must complete required school clearances, including:

FBI Fingerprinting

Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Criminal History

Child Abuse Clearance

Required in-person orientation prior to assignment

Pay & Benefits

$18.00/hour (site-specific rate)

+$0.25/hour military & active-duty differential

Overtime pay for hours worked over 40/week

Eligibility for full-time status at 30+ hours/week

Paid Time Off: 24 hours accrued after successful completion of probation
