Afternoon Teacher – Closing Shift Classroom Support

The Learning Experience – East Brunswick is seeking a Part-Time Afternoon Teacher to support classrooms during afternoon routines and dismissal transitions. This role helps ensure a smooth, safe, and organized end-of-day experience for children, staff, and families.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with multiple age groups while supporting classroom coverage later in the day.

Key Responsibilities

Support classrooms serving infants through preschool-aged children

Assist with afternoon activities, playground supervision, and transitions

Help maintain a clean and organized learning environment

Provide ratio coverage across classrooms as needed

Communicate professionally with families during pickup time

Follow all New Jersey licensing and safety requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma required

Prior childcare experience preferred

Comfortable supporting multiple age groups

Reliable and team-oriented

Must meet New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
