Part Time Bilingual Middle School Math Teacher
Tampa Bay International School is a small, independent PK-8 school in Clearwater, Florida.
Tampa Bay International School seeks a bilingual – Spanish and English speaking Middle School Math Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025-2026 academic year, beginning in August, 2025.
The desired applicant will:
• teach two small math groups (one 7th grade math and one Algebra) during one 55-miute period each day, Monday - Friday.
The desired applicant should be adept at simultaneously managing two different math groups, arranging for one group to work independently and without teacher support as another receives instruction.
The desired applicant should be comfortable working with diverse groups of children individually and in small multi-age groups.
Fully bilingual applicants are preferred. Monolingual applicants will be considered.

• be a talented math teacher capable of meeting the diverse needs of each student – slowing down and varying instruction to provide added support if necessary and accelerating instruction to challenge stronger math students

• have experience working with children in an elementary school and/or middle school setting
• possess a degree in education or a related field
• embrace a global perspective that recognizes and appreciates a diversity of cultures

Work Hours:
Instructional Hours are as follows:
Monday - Friday: 9:20 AM - 10:15 AM
Planning time will be the responsibility of the applicant, with the expectation that the desired applicant arrives punctually and fully prepared for each class.
The full salary assumes the teacher’s attendance for each class over the course of the school year. There will not be compensation for missed teaching days.
Should the applicant wish to add to their income, the possibility may exist for added compensation by: teaching additional classes for which the applicant is qualified; supervising students during lunch and recess; teaching in our after school program and/or providing private after school tutoring.

Duties:
• Teach two math groups utilizing two separate curricula - one intermediate 7th grade curriculum and one advanced, Algebra curriculum - to middle school students
• Communicate with parents regarding children’s academic performance and social-emotional well-being
• Prepare math student progress reports four times per year
