We are a CPA firm in Macomb County serving a diverse client base ranging from small businesses to larger, multi-state operations. We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and working closely with both clients and our professional staff.
Job Responsibilities Include
Client Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain accounting records using QuickBooks Online
Record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
Prepare monthly account reconciliations
Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities
Review financial information for accuracy and completeness
Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
Assist with the preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules
Client Support
Communicate directly with clients to obtain information and resolve accounting questions
Assist clients with QuickBooks Online and accounting-related issues
Work closely with our accounting and tax professionals to support client needs

Minimum Requirements
5+ years of bookkeeping experience
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Experience reconciling bank and credit card accounts
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
Experience working in a CPA firm or public accounting environment
Familiarity with sales and payroll tax return filing requirements
